Creating a new menu item

In this CMS, the pages are separated from the menu, so you can have complete control over you site structure. This means that you can create menu items that aren't real pages. This can be handy if you need to link to an external site, or if you want to link to parts of the system that aren't pages, such as a blog or the search engine.

To create a menu item:

  1. Select Advanced from the SchwaBar
  2. Select Add a new Menu Item from the drop down
  3. Enter a title for the menu. This is what appears in the menu and on the sitemap
  4. Enter a URL. If you want to link to an internal page, click the Add a link icon icon, and pick the page from the pop up.
  5. Select the parent menu item
  6. Position the menu item by dragging it up or down the link

If you wish to link to an external URL, make sure the URL starts with http://.

If you want to hide a menu temporarily, un-check the Visible check box. Note that this will automatically hide any menu items below that menu item.
